wTunes

The purpose of this module is to provide you with:

  • An "Explorer" like graphic interface to browse for audio files to play in the wTunes player.
  • An editor to create, save, edit audio play List files.

The mains window is divided in three sections.

1- On the left there is the "Folders" tree view to select a specific folder.
2 - In the upper right part there is the "Folder content" that displays the content of the current active directory.
3 - Below there is the "Play List" section that holds the filenames that have been selected in the "Folder content".

Folders

Folder content
This section holds the names of the files found in the active directory. You see only the names of files matching the supported audio file formats: mp3, wma, ogg, cda, mod, xm, s3m, it, mtm, mp1, mp2

In there you can perform multiple selection using either the mouse or the keyboard. Once a single or multiple selection has been made, you can use the buttons below or the popup menu that displays when you right click on the "Folder content" window.

If you double click on a file name it is added to the play list.

The contextual popup menu command list is:

  • "Play"
    The currently selected media are played directly to wTunes player. Use this command when you don't want to use a play list or if you want to check audio files before to put them in a list.
  • "Append"
    The selected media are added to the play list.
  • "Add all"
    All media from the active folder are added to the play list.
  • "Delete"
    The selected media are sent to tray.
  • "Help"
    Display this help file.

Note:
When a new media is added to the play list, if no line is currently selected in the play list it gets appended, otherwise it gets inserted just above the selected line.

 
Play list
This section holds a list of full path names to each of the media files in the list.

  • Drag and drop
    Use it to changer the play list order.
  • Double click
    Remove the selected line from the list.
  • Remove
    The selected lines are removed from the list.
  • New
    Allows you to create a new play list.
  • Open
    To open an existing UPL play list.
  • Save
    Save the content of the list to a wTunes UPL file.

Note:
 wTunes play list use the UPL file extension name (User Play List).
