Introduction.

ZAP Image Solution was conceived specially for the management of digital photos. It is not a catalogue browser, but a true archiving tool, in a powerful database that allows searching for and printing of your pictures using single or complex options.

It can be used either with existing pictures on your computer or with photos taken from a digital camera, a digital camcorder, a scanner or any device using a TWAIN interface.

With ZAP Image Solution the picture files are not spread all over your hard disk. They are removed from the different directories and put inside a single library file.

The photos are stored using a non-destructive compressed format and so leave more disk space available on the computer (almost 30% of free space). However when pictures are exported from the library they regain their original state and size, exactly.

When archiving, it is possible to secure a specific picture. Then a password can be used to limit access or printing of secure pictures.

The database is able to manage billion of records and the library size can be as large as the available disk space with a maximum limit of 2 Tera bytes!

You can create as many key words as you wish and use them as search options inside a specific class. New key words can be added dynamically to the class as you type.

When requesting a search you can mix any input using inclusive or exclusive options on key words. The search functions are optimized to give you the best performance in any situation.

You can link a WinWord document or an audio comment (voice recording feature) to a specific picture.

You can add annotations above an existing picture without changing the picture itself using transparent layers.

You can use a specific image collection extracted from the library to produce either a slide show or an AVI movie.

You have a complete multimedia workshop at your fingertip with the ZAP Media Solution
+ that is totally integrated to the DATABASE.

The ZAP Professional Edition is dedicated to computers running Windows 2000, XP or Windows 2003.
